What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 2:00pm onwards; with check-out at 10:00am.
Where is Reception?
We do not have an onsite reception area – our email is regularly monitored and we can be contacted by mobile should you require anything during your stay.
Guests will receive confirmation of their arrival including the lockbox pin codes for the front door, and guest room – together with the Wi-Fi password.
If you are booking your accommodation on the day of your arrival and, or if you have not received your arrival details by 2.00pm, please contact us on +61 404 811 949 to obtain this information.
Is there off-street parking available?
Yes, on your arrival you will find a brick entrance way. Parking can be found to the left, up the hill – this is a shared car parking space with other guests, and our neighbours.
I am wanting to book accommodation on the same day as my arrival date?
You can instantly check accommodation availability, and make bookings, via our website, or by calling us on +61 404 811 949.
Can I stay if not booking all accommodation?
Yes, we accept individual accommodation bookings. Whilst staying with us, guests share all kitchen, dining and living areas.
I am arriving late at night. How do I get my keys?
You will receive confirmation of your arrival confirming the lockbox pin codes for the front door, and guest room.
Can I extend my booking?
Yes, if we have availability, you are welcome to extend your stay - please contact us directly via email or telephone to discuss your new departure date requirements.
What do I do with my keys when I leave?
On your departure, please ensure you have taken all your belongings; and ensure the door is locked on your departure before returning your guest room key to the lockbox.
Guest Amenities
Do you allow pets?
Whilst pets are not permitted inside, guests are welcome to keep any animals overnight on the outside verandah – opposite the clothesline.
Carer dogs are permitted with prior notice and must always remain on a leash when in shared areas.
Can I smoke at Tarcutta Retreat?
Our accommodation is strictly non-smoking. If guests wish to smoke outside, we ask that you dispose of your cigarettes with care.
Do the guest rooms have ensuite bathrooms?
Yes, all our accommodation rooms offer ensuite bathrooms featuring a walk-in shower, vanity and toilet. All bathrooms are fully accessible.
Do you provide towels and linen?
Yes, all bedding and towels are supplied for your stay.
Is there free Wi-Fi?
Yes, we provide our guests with complimentary Wi-Fi during your stay – please be aware that speeds can vary in regional areas and can be slower than the city, or at home.
Is your accommodation easily accessible for guests?
Yes, with single-level accommodation and living areas, Tarcutta Retreat is perfect for guests with limited mobility and, or wheelchair requirements and for families travelling with young children.
Can I prepare and cook my own food?
Yes, there is a full-sized, shared kitchen and external BBQ where meals can be prepared during your stay. We provide a selection of pantry staples and recommend guests shop for grocery provisions prior to arriving in Tarcutta – with no supermarket in the town.
Do you provide laundry facilities?
Yes, laundry facilities are available on request.
